A Diploma in Management and Leadership is the benchmark qualification for full CMI membership, taking another step towards Chartered Manager status:
The Centre for Professional Development (CfPD) offers a wide range of units* for the Level 5 Diploma. Learners must complete these to achieve the minimum Total Qualification time of 370 hours.

Fast Track to Chartered Manager
On successful completion of this Diploma, and with 3+ years of Management experience, candidates can take The CMI Fast Track (Route 2) pathway to Chartered Status for an additional fee of £155+vat payable to the CMI.
The Centre for Professional Development provides a free support service for Diploma Graduates to review your Chartered Manager (CMgr) Application and guide you through the process.

This is a fully supported blended course, with on-line content accompanied by virtual classroom sessions for each module.
Course Content
A Diploma in Management and Leadership is the benchmark qualification for full CMI membership and this programme includes an embedded option to also achieve Chartered Manager (CMgr) status for those with 3+ years of suitable management experience.
The Centre for Professional Development (CfPD) offers the following units* for the Level 5 Diploma. Learners must complete these to achieve the minimum Total Qualification time of 370 hours. Learners are supported by a series of online workshops as follows:
- Induction to Thrive Learning Resources and Chartered Manager option briefing (17 October)
- Principles of Managing & Leading Individuals & Teams to Achieve Success (07 November)
- Principles of delivering coaching and mentoring (16 January)
- Managing Stakeholder Relationships (20 February)
- Managing Change (20 March)
- Managing Risk (24 April)
- Managing Quality and Continuous Improvement (22 May)
- Managing Finance (19 June)
*It is possible to complete alternative units online, please speak to one of our team.
Includes Chartered Manager (CMgr) Status assessment
On successful completion of this Diploma, and with 3+ years of Management experience, candidates can be assessed for Chartered Management status (CMgr) and full membership of the CMI (MCMI).
